2017 String Workshop
Melbourne Chamber Orchestra tutors
10am - 4.30pm Sunday 4th June

Students on the Mornington Peninsula are being invited to take part in an exciting initiative offered by Peninsula Music Society in association with Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, to make music and learn alongside some of Australia’s leading professional musicians.

This year’s program is an orchestral workshop working with members of Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. Students will have the chance to be tutored on, rehearse and perform string orchestra works over an intensive day of activity. Led by renowned violinist and educator William Hennessy, the program is designed to enhance young musicians’ confidence in, and enjoyment of, orchestral music-making.

Venue: The Peninsula School, Wooralla Drive, Mount Eliza.

Student Profile Instruments: violin, viola, cello and double-bass

Level: Equivalent of AMEB Grade 4 or above

Age: up to 21 years of age

Number: capacity for up to 25 students

Cost The 2017 fee for the workshop is $50 inc GST.
