2018 Advanced Violin Masterclass
Presented by William Hennessy, Artistic Diretor, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra
9:30 - 11.30am Sunday 17th June

Peninsula Music Society has been presenting student education opportunities and bursaries for local music students for around twenty years and this year our student programs will include an advanced masterclass for violin as well as the Bursary competition.

The advanced violin masterclass for up to 6 students will be presented by William Hennessy, Artistic Director of the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, on Sunday 17 June from 09.30am to 11.30am. The venue will be ‘The Corner’ Youth Centre, 91 Wilsons Road, Mornington (next to the Peninsula Community Theatre). Class fee will be $40 and participants will be expected to be of at least AMEB Class 5 or equivalent.

Interested students are asked to email a completed application and consent form and a ‘selfie’ video, of no more than 5 minutes of them playing an unaccompanied Bach piece which they will present at the class, by Monday 4 June to mariese.shallard@mco.org.au with a copy to vicepresident@pmsmusic.asn.au .

Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 8 June. Selection is at the complete discretion of Peninsula Music Society.
