Peninsula Music Society (PMS) is delighted to announce an exciting String Workshop & Performance Program in partnership with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra (MCO) for string students in 2026.
Successful applicants will participate in an exclusive workshop led by MCO Artistic Director Sophie Rowell and Principal Viola Merewyn Bramble, followed by a special side-by-side performance with the full orchestra.
Students will rehearse and perform the first movement of Spring from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons — an inspiring opportunity to experience this iconic work from within a professional ensemble.

Eligibility
Applicants should be playing at a minimum standard of AMEB Grade 5 (or equivalent), on Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass.
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity for local string students to be mentored by world-class musicians and to perform alongside the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra in a Peninsula venue.
