Amir Farid - piano
Zoe Knighton - cello
Amir Farid is a New York-based Iranian-Australian solo pianist, associate artist and chamber musician. He presented a solo concert for PMS in last year's season and was embraced warmly by the audience. In past years he has also performed for us as part of the Benaud Trio.
Zoe is a founding member of the Flinders Quartet and as played numerous concertos with Melbourne Orchestras. She is now also in demand as a chamber music coach and teacher at various institutions. She is also a regular panelist for major competitions.
Zoe and Amir made an impressive debut at the Melbourne Recital Centre to great critical acclaim in 2009. Their partnership has resulted in recordings for ABC, concerts throughout Australia and the release of five CDs on the MOVE label. We last welcomed this dynamic duo in 2014 and have enjoyed their performances as part of other ensembles many times since then.
Don't miss this opportunity to hear two icons of the Melbourne chamber music scene!
